Mother nature hasn't forgotten how pup and us learn.  Upland bird hunting is the foundation to a great bird dog.   We can assure you each day a field is a day of learning.  We  train all year but our best training starts the first weeks in September on the S.D. prairies, then we are off to the north woods of Wisconsin to our bird camp, (CAMP DRUMMING THUNDER)   At camp we start our pups on woodcock, ruffed grouse and a short run for north woods sharp tail.  Camp is the one time of year we all look forward to, but the end of October comes in fast.  After October we close up camp and start out for the prairies again.  With a pace that's flexible and comfortable pup is on the way to becoming a really great field dog.
